The Executive Master’s of Business Administration (EMBA) Program was established in 1998 for several reasons. Among these include meeting the educational needs of executive management, creating a life-long learning environment for executives, designing a suitable program for executives and creating professional managers for the development and globalization of the high-tech industry. The EMBA Program is designed to instill in industry leaders the perspective and vision necessary in policy making. Extensive domestic and international cases studies are reviewed along with an emphasis placed both on theoretical and practical aspects of the program. The program’s admission and curriculum is jointly determined by the faculty and administration of the Colleges of Management, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, and Humanities and Social Sciences.

There are two different classes under the Institute of Technology Law (ITL)--the Law Class and the Technology Class. The Law Class is for the students who already had a law degree and want to improve their ability in technology law issues. The Technology Class is for students who graduated from other science disciplines and want to accept legal training. The ITL is positioned as a professional school for postgraduate students and aims to recruit students who have bachelor or other degrees. Students who graduate from the ITL are awarded with an LL.M. degree.

To earn a master degree in Executive MBA Program, students must complete a minimum of 45 credits all
required courses for each student, including 3 credits master thesis to show their intellectual contributions.
Students only attend the class twice a month in every other weekend in campus. The program will be
completed in two years by 3 semesters a year.

Candidates applying for admission to the program must have at least a bachelor's degree, along with a minimum of 10 years of working experience (including military service). Structure
The EMBA curriculum operates on six five-week “modules” per year, with participants taking two courses per module. Each course is worth three credit-hours; participants are required to complete a total of twenty-four courses (72 credit-hours).
The program covers two management residential sessions, eleven modules and a two-week overseas component held towards the start of the second year. This specially designed program, taught by leading Kellogg professors, covers four courses over two very intensive weeks at Kellogg’s Allen Center in Evanston, Illinois, U.S.A.

The program is designed to meet the development needs of experienced managers who occupy or are destined to senior management positions. Program participants are managers, entrepreneurs and professionals with at least 10 years work experience, including at least five years managerial experience.
Participants remain in their jobs throughout the program and can complete it in 15 months. Classes typically meet Thursday through Sunday, once a month, with two residential modules of 7 and 10 days. The second residential module will take place abroad in Latin America or Asia.
