SMU will launch a new Wealth Management (WMT) Track in 2008 under the Bachelor of Business Management Programme. Students interested in the WM Track are required to pursue Finance as a major.

SMU Internship Programme
An important feature of the BBM is the internship programme at established organizations, both local and international. The internship programme aims to provide students with a deeper cross-cultural appreciation of business practices and research. The duration of the internship programme is a minimum of 12 weeks, of which two weeks must be spent in a voluntary welfare organization. This is to inculcate in students the value of being responsible and civic-minded citizens of society.

The MSc in Operations Management is an intensive, two-year full-time programme by research. The programme is designed to equip graduates with in-depth knowledge in operations management for a career in academia or industry. The programme has one admission each year in August. The curriculum includes foundation courses, faculty-directed research seminars, independent studies supervised by faculty members, and a Master's thesis. Students with a strong mathematical background are encouraged to apply. Outstanding applicants will receive a competitive scholarship for the period of study.

Programme Structure
The Master of Science in Applied Finance is an intensive part-time programme designed to be completed in 18 months spread over 3 terms. Each term is eighteen weeks, divided into 2 halves of nine weeks duration. The programme begins in July. There is only one admission each year.
Candidates are required to complete 15 compulsory modules and 5 elective modules to meet the 10 course units requirement of a SMU Master of Science degree.
