Curriculum of Doctoral Program
To obtain a PhD degree in Human Resource Management, a doctoral student must complete a minimum of 39 credits of graduate courses, including 15 credits of required courses. In addition, each doctoral student must pass a qualifying examination and complete a dissertation that meets required standards of scholarship and demonstrates the candidate’s research capabilities and contributions. To apply for the final dissertation defense, a doctoral student needs to complete all coursework, pass the qualifying examination, pass the dissertation proposal defense, and publish one research article indexed in the Social-Science Citation Index or two research articles indexed in the Taiwan Social-Science Citation Index.

To obtain a Ph.D. in PAM, a doctoral student must complete a minimum of 36 credits, including 16 credits of required courses. Each student has to select 1 subdiscipline from 4 subdisciplines as his or her major, and take 2 core courses in the subdiscipline chosen. The student also has to take 1 core course from another
subdiscipline. The credits in these 3 core courses are part of the 16 required credits aforementioned. Finally, as in the other two programs, each doctoral student must complete a dissertation and attain a TOEFL-CBT score of 200 or above before graduation.

To apply for the final dissertation defense, a doctoral student needs to complete all coursework, pass a qualifying examand preliminary oral, and publish two research articles indexed in the Science Citation Index, Social Science Citation Index, or the Taiwan Social-Science Citation Index.
