Since late 1970’s, the developing of information technologies changed the behaviors of business operations and the relationship within business networks. The major concern to implement e-business is to establish the proper production/marketing information systems for the business. In this course, the well-known business application information systems, such as enterprise resource planning, supply chain management, customer relationship management, and etc. are introduced and discussed. At the mean time, the business process reengineering techniques are also demonstrated to make the students to improve the efficiency of business operations more systematically while implement the information systems. The basic theory of production and marketing management for different business types are introduced, and the latest managerial concepts and information systems are verified for the small-and-medium business. The purpose of this course is to educate the students to be able to develop the business information systems appropriately.

Students are expected to learn the concepts about Internet networking, different range of area networks, wired and wireless networks, typical networking problems and solutions, and network architectures and will be able to explore new networking standards, technologies on their own.
